Thousands of records crowd his music collection of different styles and a genre allows Alex to beat 5+ hour sets in his sleep. His first residency at Libella, a southeast Bavarian spot that also helped develop DJ Hell's career in the 1980's, gave him the push he needed. After running his own radio show for over 2 years, countless gigs, his friend Sven Dedek and Alex started produced under the monikers Basic Implant or Electric Envoy. Producing for labels like Chris Liebing's "Fine Audio Recordings", Dave Angel's "Rotation", Justin Berkovi's "Predicaments", Pascal Feos' "PV-Records" made them an international act.
After numerous releases for other labels Alex started Toneman, his first label. During the same time Alex started his solo projects for labels like CLR and Default Recordings. His "C.A.N.A.D.A. EP" released on CLR, late 2007, received overwhelming feedback. People described tracks "Summer in Moncton" and "Halifax Funk" as masterpieces of contemporary techno music. His sound was positively unique and different from the rest of the electronic music dominated by minimal click clack.
Alex played for all of Chris Liebing's legendary closing nights, Es its Freitagaaabend, Electric Delicate and Airport. Finding himself at the legendary club Tresor in Berlin. These are historical nostalgia in German techno culture. Alex Bau's gig list grew, going all over the world, literally and his reputation got him voted among the top 20 German DJ`s from Germany's leading dance magazine, Raveline, in 2006.
This got Alex locked in as an official artist for the record label Sino and Zenit, which has been the platform for many acts like Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, The Advent and Gaetano Parisio to name a few. Credo, a sub label from Zenit, which is now Alex's personal artist label. Credo has made themselves a real household name with releases "My bleepy helloween" and "Bullet in your heart", both minimal peak time dance floor destroyers. Credo attracts the likes of artists like Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin and Charles Siegling aka Technasia.
Alex's music is growing constantly; he is one of the few real techno producers in the world to have accomplished what he has and In 2008 he decided to focus on only a few labels, producing powerful releases on labels like CLR, Sino, Credo and your very own Prosthetic.
